As part of the activities within the Program "Asset Management Advisory Services for Water Utilities in South-Eastern Europe", on November 26 - 27, 2020, the Association for Water and Environmental Protection "Aquasan Network in BiH" organized an advanced two-day online training on “EDAMS water monitoring / balancing module”.
The training was attended by 3 public utility companies that participate in the Platinum A level of the Program: PUC "Vodovod" a.d. Gradiška, PUC "Vodovod" JSC Prnjavor and PUC "Vodovod i kanalizacija" LLC Velika Kladuša, with the participation of GIZ-a i Hydro-Comp Enterprise (Cyprus) representatives.
During the training appointed representatives of PUCs and members of the "Aquasan Network in BiH Hub, discussed topics related to water monitoring / balancing: operations and monitoring of non-revenue water, effective management, control and monitoring of basic balance zones, and management and work with water meter readings, which are irreplaceable tools when it comes to efficient management of non - revenue water.
As part of the advanced training and in order to evaluate the progress so far and define the next steps, individual consultations were organized between representatives of HCE and Aquasan network in BiH with representatives of PUCs.
Through the evaluation, the participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the online training, quality of content and interaction of participants. Training also enabled the exchange of knowledge and experiences between PUCs participating in the project.
The appointed representatives of PUCs will continue to work actively on improving the data related to the asset register, and to actively work on the implementation of project activities related to water monitoring / balancing
